Accepting New Clients!
Phoebe believes meaningful therapy begins with seeing and caring for the whole person. Guided by the Latin concept of cura personalis, or "care for the whole person," she understands that experiences rarely exist in isolation and that our relationships, identities, values, environments, and lived experiences all shape how we move through difficult seasons. Above all, she aims to provide care that honors the whole person, not just the problem that brought them to therapy. She offers clients a warm, supportive and compassionate space, free from judgement, for clients to process difficult experiences, reconnect with themselves, and find meaning in what comes next as they navigate life's challenges.

Phoebe believes therapy is about more than reducing symptoms; it can also be an opportunity to understand ourselves better, explore what gives our lives meaning, and reconnect with what matters most. She works with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transition, family and relationship challenges, and the everyday difficulties that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing major life transitions like the transition into adulthood, parenthood, becoming a caregiver for a loved one, processing the death of a loved one, job or career changes, relationship shifts and much more. These transitions can often leave us asking ourselves bigger questions: Who am I now? What comes next? And where do I go from here?
Phoebe's approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with an appreciation for existential perspectives. She works collaboratively with clients, drawing from multiple approaches and techniques to curate care that helps you achieve your personal needs and goals. Creativity is an important part of Phoebe's life and clinical work. When appropriate and if requested, she incorporates art, mindfulness, grounding, and other somatic experiential approaches to help clients explore and express what may be difficult to put into words.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what comes next, Phoebe invites you to reach out. Together, you can make sense of what you’re carrying and find a way forward that feels more grounded and true to you.'

Phoebe's Experience & Background

Phoebe Clark, LGPC, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Studio Arts from Loyola University Maryland before completing her master’s degree in counseling psychology at Towson University. As a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, she brings experience supporting clients across different stages of life and a background that combines counseling, psychology, research, and the arts.
During her clinical training at Carroll County Youth Services Bureau, Phoebe provided individual, family, and group counseling to children and adolescents ages 6–17. She supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, family and relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and other emotional and developmental challenges.
Phoebe has experience working with older adults through her work at Johns Hopkins. At the Memory and Alzheimer's Treatment Center at Bayview, she provided direct client care to individuals and families navigating memory and cognitive concerns. She also worked in geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychiatry research, contributing to work focused on aging, cognitive health, and neuropsychiatric conditions. These experiences have contributed to her interest in supporting individuals and families navigating aging, caregiving, grief, and major life transitions.
In addition to her clinical training, Phoebe's background in Studio Arts and her certification as a 200-hour yoga teacher shape her holistic, creative approach to therapy. She values the mind-body connection and may incorporate mindfulness, grounding, creative expression, and somatic approaches into her work when appropriate. Together, these experiences shape her commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care that honors the whole person.
